Inconscient waking Ignorance—that’s a tremendous advance made by the unseeing Force. How it happened? There is no clue available to the process, the mechanism of the Occult that could have brought it about. That mysterious something as if driven from within, with its deep-seated desire or impulse or urge, the primordial urge, the glowing though tiny seed of things, is pushing itself out to emerge, to be, to make a movement of progress. There doesn’t seem to be any aim set out for itself. Yet there is a definite infallibility and, in the darkness of the night, a kind of direction is sensed; it is the direction of Inconscience first changing into Ignorance. What a gain! This is a quantum leap indeed. Surely enough, this can happen only when there is the authentic will working at the foundational level, when at the depth is present the Truth-Idea itself. It might be wrapped with veil around thicker and darker veil, but its push is resistless, unstoppable. If the Void is occupied by this Truth-Idea, then it is no more an inexplicable miracle that there appears the Inconscience which further on gives rise to Ignorance. The Self of Void became the Self of Inconscience, and now the Self of Inconscience is waking to the Self of Ignorance. The mightiest and decisive, the brilliant quantum leap will occur when this Self of Ignorance shall become the Self of Knowledge. To a certain extent there is a possibility of participative effort entering into the operation which was absent in the earlier transitions. Thence onward, in the Self of Knowledge, it will be a larger and sweeping movement from Knowledge to Knowledge, the vast unrealized potentialities of the Infinite and the Endless entering into richer and greater universal manifestation. All this is implied in the Inconscience waking Ignorance—if it has to have any significance.
