There is the birth-pang, and in the majesty and sweep of the epic the moonless cave suddenly becomes bright with another significance. The psychic memory of the earth becomes active, remembering the task that has to be attended to. The indeterminate of the Inconscience has yearning to have a form, has urge towards determinates. There is even prescience behind it. How this is going to happen, of that process there might not be any clue available; but something there is deep within which has a conviction that it ought to be. Perhaps that is enough and a persistent effort is all that is called for. When that call is there, can then come the answering power in the form of grace. It is then that beauty and truth turn into the call and the grace. It is then that, even in the deepness of darkness, the divine movement gets set into motion. Savitri has moved rapidly, with epic speed, with just fifty lines of its opening, has moved towards this divine movement.
