The incarnate accept the conditions of terrestrial ignorance and suffering, the difficulties of mortality, that thus alone things can be worked out from below up. It is not by waving a magic wand up there in the transcendent that a change is brought about; that will be thaumaturgy and not evolution. It is at crucial junctures of evolution that special descents take place and they carry the movement forward. It is they who alone can do the needed qualifying yoga-yapasya, and without it nothing can happen. They come and do it. Our task is to grow in it, lend more and more of ourselves to it, be open and receptive to the force and light they bring. ~ RYD
